Thank you for dropping by to visit us at the Wetumpka Child Development Program. We are excited about getting off to a great new year. The arrival of the new school year only leads to more excitement and fun new activities. We would like you to click on your child's classroom and see what exciting things your child's teacher has in store for them. They have been working so hard preparing for their new students. I don't know who is more excited the children or the teacher's!
We now have a few openings left in our Pre-K program and also in our after school program, you may fill out an online registration form, download a registration form from the forms section on the left or come by the Center and pick up a form, remember there is a $30 registration fee per child which will hold your child's spot.
We do not provide lunch, you may buy lunch from the lunchroom or bring lunch from home. Lunch from the lunchroom is $2.25 a day. You may fill out a free/reduced lunch form to see if you qualify for free lunch and breakfast. Breakfast is $1.25 a day. We do provide two snacks a day, one in the morning the same time as breakfast and one in the afternoon when the children wake up from nap. We give the after schooler's their snack as soon as we get to the Center.

 The Firm, Fair and Consistant is a publication we offer each month to help you, the parent with some stratagies on helping children with different issues they may face in today's world. It could be from advice on getting your children to eat vegetables, to why my friend is different than me and how to handle that issue. It also offers homework advice, different ways to discipline your child and for how long, letting your child help you prepare dinner and having dinner together as a family to talk about your day and a wealth of other information. We hope you find it useful. Each month offers new up to date information for you and your family.
 Don't forget that we are still involved in our recycling  program, Funding Factory, which accepts used inkjet cartridges, used laser jet cartridges, and used cell phones. Just collect all your used cartridges, laser cartridges, and cell phones and bring them to the Center. If you cannot bring them to the Center, just give me a call and I will be more than happy to come by and pick them up. I know some of you work in offices and have a large amount of large laser cartridges, but that is not a problem, I will be happy to come and get them anytime. Call Jennifer at 334-567-1287 or 334-657-1074. If you are not collecting, please start collecting now and ask your office if you can save them for your child's school. Save them from your home use too. Even if it is just one, they all add up.
We are also saving our Capri Sun empty drinks. just take the straw out and save them in a Wal Mart bag and bring them in when you have a bag full. We are trying to teach the kids how to recycle and earn a little things for the Center in return.
