If you ever get a strange ERROR MESSAGE
Write down the message
Everyone has received a strange Windows error message from time to time. Since we run so many different programs it is only to be expected that we would be prone to errors from time to time. This can be frustrating. To solve an unexpected, strange error message, the best thing to do is:
- STOP - Write the message on the screen down exactly as you see it or hit the Print screen button and paste in word if it will let you
- Write down exactly what you were doing when you got the error
- If you feel comfortable - you can go to Microsoft's technical support web site at www.microsoft.com/support to find more information on the error. The maintain a knowledgebase section that lists when others may have received the same error message and what you can do to fix it
- It is also possible that other software or hardware other than Windows is the root of the problem - if this is the case someone would need to contact that vendor
If none of this has helped contact your school technology coordinator

- Sometimes we leave our computers on for long periods of time never restarting them - a fresh restart may speed up your computer
- Under PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS are some programs that might help with this problem {Disk Cleanup or Disk Defragmenter}

Why does my computer FREEZEUP?
Too many applications, power surge....

- You can try freeing up memory by deleting Temp files and Internet temp files.
